How ScreenGen, operated by AppStare, handles account data, app information, screenshots, projects, publishing records, and connection credentials.
1. Introduction
ScreenGen (“the Service”) is operated by AppStare (www.appstare.net, registered address: Building A2, Changlong Cultural Park, Chaoyang District, Beijing, China; “we”, “us”, or “AppStare”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Service, why we process it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have.
By using the Service you confirm that you have read and understood this policy. If you do not agree with it, please stop using the Service.
2. Data we collect
Account data: when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the identifier and display name provided by that provider (such as your email address). We never receive or store your social login password.
App and project data: app profiles you create (name, icon, description, store details), uploaded screenshots, project settings, copy, and design configuration.
Generation and publishing records: generated images, exported files, AI generation records, and publish history (app, version, locale, device group, status, and timestamps).
Connection credentials: App Store Connect API credentials (such as a .p8 private key) that you voluntarily provide. Credentials are used only for the lookups and publishing operations you authorize and are stored in encrypted form.
Technical data: device and browser type, language preference, access time, page interactions, and diagnostic information needed to keep the Service secure.
3. Why we use your data
We use the data above to: provide sign-in, project creation and saving, template editing, AI-assisted copy and image generation, image export, App Store Connect publishing, and publish history; keep your account and the Service secure; provide customer support; and, where you consent, improve the product.
Processing is based on performance of the contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating a safe and reliable service, and, where required, your separate consent.
4. AI processing
Uploaded screenshots and project content are processed only to complete the analysis, copy, and image generation you request. We do not use your uploaded screenshots to train shared AI models for other users without your separate, explicit consent.
AI generation is performed by a third-party AI provider. Requests are logged only as required by that provider’s retention practices (see “Service providers” below).
5. App Store Connect credentials
Connection credentials are used only for the lookups and publishing operations you confirm, and are stored in encrypted form. Never send a .p8 private key through support. If you believe a key has been exposed, regenerate it in Apple’s portal and update the connection.
6. Service providers
To run the Service we may use third-party providers in the following categories, and each provider may process necessary data in its operating region: authentication providers (Google, Apple); cloud hosting and database providers; object storage (for uploaded images and exported files); AI generation providers; analytics providers; and, once billing is enabled, payment providers (such as Stripe).
We share data with providers only to the extent needed to provide the Service, and require them to protect it by contract.
7. Cookies and logs
We use cookies to store necessary preferences such as your language. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work as expected.
We keep server access logs (such as IP address, request time, and browser information) for security, troubleshooting, and traffic analytics.
8. Retention
Projects and app assets are stored while they remain active. When you delete a project, its editable data is removed.
Files attached to a completed publish remain downloadable for the period shown in publish history: 30 days on Launch Pass, 90 days on Pro, and 180 days on Studio. Free accounts do not include published-file retention.
After account deletion we remove your projects, app assets, publish files, and connection credentials within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to retain.
9. International data transfers
AppStare is established in the People’s Republic of China. To provide the Service, some of your data may be processed by third-party providers located in other jurisdictions.
Where required by law, we apply appropriate safeguards, such as contractual terms and access controls, to data transferred across borders.
10. Children
The Service is intended for users who have reached the age of majority or the applicable legal age, and is not directed at children under 14. If you are under 14, please do not use the Service.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 14, we will delete it promptly. Guardians who believe a child has provided us personal data may ask us to delete it using the contact details below.
11. Your rights
You may request access, export (a copy), correction, or deletion of your personal data. To protect your account, requests must be verified through the account email.
You can delete apps, projects, or your whole account from account settings. Deletion is handled as described in Section 8.
